Discovery: deciding what to build first

The most expensive design mistake is a well-designed feature nobody needed. So design starts before any screen: with the question of what to build first and how.

  • Market research and a map of the competitors you will be compared to.
  • User research to find out what people actually need, not what they say in a survey.
  • MVP planning that decides what the first release will and will not do, in writing.
  • A product validation sprint when the idea needs testing before the build.

The result is a plan you can pitch and a scope you can build, with a technical plan that can grow with you.

Experience and interface design

Once the scope is set, we design the product around what your users actually need: UX research, user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and the final interface for web and mobile.

We design every screen and how users move between them, not only the screens that look good in a portfolio. Onboarding, empty states, errors, and settings get the same attention as the home screen, because that is where people decide whether to stay.

Design systems

A design system is the set of colours, type, corners, and components that every screen is built from. It is what keeps screen eighty consistent with screen one, and it is what lets engineers build a new screen without waiting for a new mockup.

We set the visual identity and the design system before the high-fidelity screens, then design every screen from it. It is the same order we built into TwoSprint, our AI product platform, where branding and the design system come before hi-fi design and tasks.

Design that ships

A design handed over a wall to another company tends to come back different. Our designers and engineers work in one team, on one plan, so design stays a step ahead of the build and every question gets answered the same day.

You see the design turn into a working product in daily builds, and you can follow every decision in 2Sprint, our AI product workspace. After launch we stay to read the data: feature analytics, conversion, and retention tell us which parts of the design are working and which need another pass.

Interfaces that are easy to learn and pleasant to use.

Design work you can look at

  • AdQuest: a campaign dashboard, a public site, and a Theme Studio where AI restyles an embedded SDK to look native in every host app.
  • TwoSprint: a product roadmap, a design system, a landing page builder with twelve templates, and the flows that connect them.

Both are our own products. If you want design and build together on a fixed clock, see 2Sprint, or read how a two-week sprint works.

Questions

Do you only design, or also build?

Both, and we recommend keeping them together: the same team designs and builds, so nothing is lost between handoffs.

How can I be sure the design meets our requirements?

Regular check-ins, detailed progress reports, and your input at every key decision. Our iterative approach keeps the final product aligned with your vision.

Who are the designers?

Senior professionals with 5+ years of experience. We match people to your project based on their expertise and your needs.
